Not An Animal Launch Party 18+

NOT AN ANIMAL is the new project from Chris Stoker & Andy Bainbridge aka BAD PASSION. Both a record label and an accompanying party under the same name to celebrate and launch each new release with the artists involved performing. 

With releases & remixes scheduled from Man Power, The Backwoods, Ess O Ess, Suzanne Kraft, Chida, Machete Savane, Lizards, Max Essa, Tiago, Elizabeth Collective, Kuniyuki & Konkret Cutz the official launch party takes place on the 10th October at The Yard to welcome the 1st release.

Providing the entertainment for the night is MAN POWER and flying in from Tokyo THE BACKWOODS.

• MAN POWER •
Man Power is Berlin based Geoff Kirkwood. The producer first came to prominence as an anonymous figure in 2013, prompting a host of inaccurate guesses to his real identity and being incorrectly identified as many major artists including John Talabot, Michael Mayer, Andrew Weatherall and many other eminent electronic music figures.
In the short time since launching the project, Geoff has seen a host of incredibly well received musical releases on labels including Hivern, Throne of Blood, Infine, Ene Japan, and Correspondant, the last being the home of the majority of his original output.
2015 also saw the release of Man Power’s debut eponymous album on Correspondant. The somewhat experimental and pop textured album was received with effusive reviews across the board, and garnered him an unprecedented 10/10 in Mixmag Deutschland.
Despite success as a producer, Man Power regards himself first and foremost as a DJ, and enjoys a packed global DJing schedule that regularly sees him play around the world, with recent notable DJ appearances including Glastonbury Festival, Air Tokyo, Piknik Elektronik Barcelona, Electric Elephant Festival Croatia, Good Rooms New York, MN Roy Mexico City, Fabric London, Sieste Electroniques Toulouse, Cocktail d’Amore Berlin and The Block Tel Aviv amongst many others.

• THE BACKWOODS / DJ KENT •
As well as being part of Force of Nature (alongside KZA) DJ Kent has also released an album and a string of amazing records in his solo guise as The Backwoods, which have found favour from the likes of DJ Harvey, François K and Eric Duncan among others… He has remixed for and been remixed by the likes of Theo Parrish and DJ Kaos and has released on labels such as Mule Musiq, Headinghome and Endless Flight. More to the point, he is a phenomenal DJ, as his mixes for the likes of Beats in Space and Naïve Melody more than illustrate
